San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We had an absolutely fantastic time on the Dandelion Chocolate Factory Tour!!! It was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our San Francisco trip and worth every penny. A huge thank you to Mariko, our guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable and so passionate about her work. Her enthusiasm was contagious and made the entire experience even more memorable. You could truly feel how much she loves chocolate and the craft behind it. The tour is amazingly generous with tastings, we sampled what felt like dozens of pieces at every stage of the chocolate-making process, from beans to finished bars. It completely changed the way we think about chocolate. And as a wonderful bonus, you receive a voucher for a drink at the cafΓ© afterward, which was the perfect ending. If you come with a family or friends, try out different options of a hot chocolate (like the european one, the spicy one etc, cause it also makes a difference and a nice challenge to try and discuss!) We came with three kids of different ages (3,7,10 years), and every one of them had a great time. The tour is genuinely kid-friendly, engaging, and interactive without ever feeling too long or too technical. The staff made

The Chocolate Factory Tour was amazing! Loved learning about the end to end process of harvesting/fermenting/roasting/melange-ing/conching/tempering the mighty cocoa bean/nib! Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly to our groupsβ questions :) thank you. I was surprised to be able to taste the coffee *fruit*, and even get to try their smoothie drink with the complimentary drink ticket. I think the tour would be a memorable experience for any tourists/locals/chocolate lovers π«π«

Dandelion Chocolate offers extremely high-quality chocolate and a beautiful space to enjoy it. We've been coming to the store and enjoying their various chocolate items for a long time, and we decided to sign up for their bonbon-making class. The teacher, Steven, was incredibly friendly, and the experience making the chocolate was very fun. You can tell that a lot of pride and passion goes into the chocolate-making process and their stores. Dandelion offers countless chocolate treats that make great presents for any chocolate lovers, and the in-store experiences are very fun as a date or as a group activity. The chocolate and classes are on the pricier side, but you're getting very high-quality and memorable experiences for that price. In my opinion, it's definitely worth the occasional treat or gift.

βAfter hours of dancing at the Carnival, my girlfriend and I needed a break before heading home. Since she had never been to Dandelion Chocolate, I knew it would be the perfect spot to unwind. βI ordered an decaffeinated Americano, which was made to perfection. She hot chcolate that was topped with a marshmallow and was absolutely gushing over it the entire time. Beyond the drinks, the inside of this location is stunning. Itβs so chic and beautiful, from the gorgeous plants and large windows to the gold trim and chandelier. It is easily my absolute favorite location. It was the perfect way to wrap up an amazing day. Staff was so sweet and very friendly even at the end of their work day. CC accepted. Restroom available Oat milk available

I signed up for the factory tour and was completely blown away. Over the course of about two hours they go through the entire chocolate making process from bean to bar and it is fascinating! At the end, I was pleasantly surprised when they passed out drink tokens, which allowed attendees to a free beverage of their choice at onsite cafe.
